1300 Hotline

To improve the public's understanding of the law and encourage lawyers to serve the public and give back to society, the Australian (Queensland) Chinese Lawyers Association and Auslaw Partners jointly launched the "1300 Hotline" in 2021 to provide free legal consultation services to groups in need. The hotline covers multiple legal fields and mainly aims at people in difficulties, etc., to help those who need legal aid and effectively protect their legitimate rights and interests.

1. Low-income families
Lack the ability to pay lawyers but encounter situations where legal aid is urgently needed, such as civil disputes, labour disputes, etc.

2. Victims of domestic violence
Especially women and children need protection, support victims to contact the police to obtain protection orders, apply for child custody or handle related divorce procedures, etc.

3. Elderly and disabled people
Legal issues in property distribution, pension collection, medical care and guardianship. Prevent the elderly or disabled from property fraud, abuse and neglect.

4. Minors in low-income families
Help children fight for basic education, living and medical conditions to avoid victimization, including minors involved in guardianship, education rights and abuse issues.

5. Social welfare cases
Aim to support and promote social justice and promote harmonious development through legal means. Including cases of environmental protection, animal protection, consumer rights, etc.

6. Education rights
Cases for children of vulnerable groups who receive unfair education treatment, such as unmet special education needs, etc.

7. People who are discriminated
Guarantee equal rights for all groups, whether in the workplace, public services, etc.
